My first observation of the My Story Marketing concept was the use of personal photos.

You have heard the saying, “A picture is worth a thousand words.” That’s because pictures tell a better story about who you are. My Story marketing is all about telling YOUR story.

People want to know that you are just like them. Pictures help convey your My Story message.

In my observation, MLMGoldmine members have done a great job at the MyStory marketing concept. They usually load 12 - 15 personal pictures using a software from a company called Slide.

My Story Marketing Tips - Introduction - My Observations

Have you heard about this concept called My Story marketing? Well, about a year ago I started noticing a trend. That trend was how a small group of people were marketing themselves on their MySpace page. Later I found out that they called this concept My Story marketing.

I am a big observer of people. I like going to the mall and sitting on a bench and just watch people interact. I do the same on the Internet. I started watching this guy who I noticed began making gains in popularity on the Internet. What I noticed was that he was using this really interesting concept called My Story marketing.

I became intrigued with the My Story marketing concept so much that I began to study and compare similarities of what I saw this small group of people doing. I compared one profile with the next and began to notice a common thread amongst them all. I liked what I saw because I realized the power of My Story Marketing. I decided to put it to the test for myself.

Interestingly enough, My Story marketing works! I decided to begin to implement some of the techniques on my own MySpace page. I must admit that I have not perfected the process just yet but I am definitely seeing positive results.

I have decided to shoot several video tips around my observations of My Story marketing. This is the introduction video, but please stick around because there will be several additional videos available that will cover my findings and observations.

WordPress Permalinks | Tutorial #11

Before you conduct your first post, I recommend customizing your WordPress permalink structure. Permalinks are basically the layout of how a URL of a WordPress post appears. WordPress’ default permalink structure includes a bunch of random numbers in your url. This won’t do jack squat for your search engine optimization.

Instead, you should look into customizing your permalink structure with the category field and post name.

Congratulations! Your WordPress blog is up and running. But wait… it looks ugly as heck doesn’t it?!!! So what can we do to drastically improve the look and feel of our blog so that it appears professional?

Well we can update our theme. Fundamentally, the WordPress Theme system is a way to “skin” your weblog. Yet, it is more than just a “skin.” Skinning your site implies that only the design is changed. WordPress Themes can provide much more control over the look and presentation of the material on your website.

A WordPress Theme is a collection of files that work together to produce a graphical interface with an underlying unifying design for a weblog. These files are called template files. A theme modifies the way the site is displayed, without modifying the underlying software.

Turning WordPress On | Tutorial #8

Everything is now in place. All that’s left to do is to stick the key in the ignition and turn it on. This is the exciting moment that everyone anticipates. It’s like one of those television shows where they build the motorcycle from scratch and they stand there in anticipation as they turn the ignition switch for the very first time.

Your WordPress blog will be in it’s basic format, but that’s okay because if you have made it this far, you can say that you have accomplished a great feat that you probably didn’t think you could accomplish before getting to this step. As you look back, I am sure your understanding and knowledge factor has increased as well.

Connect MySQL to WordPress | Tutorial #7

We are almost finished. Our next step is to create a MySQL database and then connect it to your WordPress files. I know that probably sounds challenging. You are probably saying to yourself, “Create a database? I don’t know the first thing about creating a database. That sounds difficult.”

Let me ask you three questions:

Do you trust me?
Haven’t the videos up to this point been easy to follow and understand?
Then why do you think this task will be any different?

Creating a MySQL database will be one of the easiest tasks in this entire series. Once you have completed this task, there should be nothing else standing in your way from completing everything else. It’s down hill from here.

There are several different ftp clients that help you achieve your task of uploading your files. One such popular ftp client is called FileZilla.

In this video, we will teach you how to find FileZilla and download it to your computer. Once it is downloaded we will give you a virtual tour of the software. Did I mention that the software is absolutely FREE!
